Frequently asked questions
Q. Is this Purewasher?
A. Yes, formerly Purewasher, Smelly Washer has been improved and is now an amazing dishwasher cleaner!
Q. How do I use Smelly Washer?
A. Add a level cap to an empty washer and complete a hot cycle. To clean your dishwasher split a cap between the dispensers and the floor of the unit then run a hot cycle. Repeat if necessary.
Q. How do I use Smelly Towel Cleaner?
A. Add 1 level cap to a full load of towels or laundry and complete a wash cycle.
Q. What are your advantages over competitors?
A. Since we created the first clothes washer deodorizer in 2007 there has become a corporate cottage industry of washing machine cleaner manufacturers. We are confident our products are best because:
1. Smelly Washer is all natural and has no fragrance.
Harsher cleaners leave a strong chemical smell. Our odorless, organic ingredients will safely clean your appliances!
2. We've got 24 treatments compared to 3-6 for competitors!
At less than $0.63 per cleaning it's an easy decision. Smelly Washer is your best decision!
3. Our products can be used with clothing.
This is important because the bulk of the laundry will raise the cleaning water level to include the splash area just above the normal water line. This is invariably the area of heaviest buildup.
Q. Are your cleaners safe for septic systems?
A. Yes, our cleaners have been extensively tested as safe for any septic system.
Q. Where can I buy your products?
A. Go to our Retailers for a list of stores that sell our products. If making a special trip you may want to call ahead with the sku or UPC to make it easier for the store to locate the product.
Q. Can I use your products with dark or colored clothing?
A. You are able to use safely on colors after worn. Do not use with new, colored laundry as fading may occur.
Q. The odor came back! What do I do?
A. Returning or persistent odor is a sign of remaining residue on the inside of the plastic, outer tub. The area of worst buildup is just above the normal waterline where suds and soiled water splash up and don't get rinsed out. To clean the "splash area" add a cap of Smelly Washer Cleaner to a full load of laundry. The added bulk of the laundry will raise the water level to include the splash area. Soak for worse cases.
Q. What is the difference between Smelly Washer and your towel cleaner?
A. The active ingredient is the same but Smelly Towel Cleaner has a pleasant garden fragrance and also boosters to brighten colors and make your towels and laundry cleaner and fluffier! Customers love it!
